Victim identified; one charged in Seward Township crash

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim in a three-vehicle fatal crash that occurred June 30 at approximately 12:13 a.m. on Ridge Road and Khate Drive in Seward Township near Minooka.

Police identified the victim as Alexis Danley, 27, of the 0-200 block of Rylan Lane in Shorewood.

According to the initial police investigation, the accident occurred when a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck being driven in the southbound lane of Ridge Road by Jacob R. Kaminski, 23, of the 0-1000 block of Main Street in Marseilles collided with Danley's 2007 Chrysler 300 which was traveling northbound on Ridge Road. Police said Kaminski's truck then spun around and struck a 1999 Toyota Camry driven by Rebecca R. Brown, 22, of the 0-100 block of Yeadon Drive in Oswego.

Police said Danley was pronounced dead at the scene, while Minooka Fire Protection District paramedics transported a one year-old child that was securely fastened in her vehicle to St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet for evaluation. The child was later released to family members, police said.

Brown and two passengers in her vehicle were also treated by Minooka paramedics and released at the scene.

Minooka paramedics transported Kaminski to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said Kaminski has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a no passing zone. Kaminski was also given civil violations for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis.

Minooka Police Department officers assisted county sheriff's deputies at the scene. The traffic crash remains under investigation, police said.
