Capt. Darryl Bogard, Illinois State Police District 5 commander, announced in a news release the recent assignment of nine new Illinois State Police Troopers to District 5 after graduating from the ISP Academy on Dec. 22.
The nine new troopers were members of Cadet Class 126 during their 25 weeks of training in Springfield. The new officers will begin a 14-week field training program and will be patrolling in Grundy, Kendall and Will counties.
“The ISP wishes these troopers the very best as they embark on their exciting new careers,” said the news release. “Being an ISP trooper is very demanding and it takes a great deal of dedication and sacrifice. The ISP is confident the training these nine new officers received will help them overcome all challenges so they can continue to uphold the ISP’s commitment to integrity, service and pride. These nine new officers are now a part of Illinois’ finest and D5’s personnel are proud to welcome them to their ranks.”
“It is with great excitement that we welcome these new troopers to District 5,” said Capt. Bogard. “We look forward to their successful completion of the field training program and anticipate their future contributions to District 5. Congratulations to you all.”
