Kendall County sheriff's reports

Under investigation

County sheriff’s deputies are continuing their investigation into a report of a domestic battery at a residence in the 2200 block of Walker Road in NaAuSay Township Jan. 7.

Theft reported

County sheriff’s deputies took a theft report at a home in the 30th block of Briarcliff Road in Boulder Hill Jan. 8. Police said the victim told them the theft occurred Nov. 1 and an acquaintance may be involved.

Harbor Drive incident reported

County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a burglary from a vehicle and criminal damage to property incident that occurred Jan. 7 at 4 a.m. in the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego Township. Police said the victim told them that someone took items and damaged the wall inside the residence and stole items from the victim’s vehicle.

License plate stolen

A license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at a residence in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Bristol Township Jan. 7, according to the county sheriff’s office.

Vehicle stolen

County sheriff’s deputies received a report of a theft of a motor vehicle in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill Jan. 8 at 12:33 a.m. Police said the theft occurred Jan. 7 at 3 p.m. Police said the investigation is continuing.

Motorist cited

County sheriff’s deputies cited Kyle A. Rhoden, 24, of the 0-99 block of Ingleshire Road, Boulder Hill, for driving on a revoked license after they responded to a motorist assist incident on Route 31 at Caterpillar Drive Jan. 7 at 4:19 p.m.

DUI charge after crash

County sheriff’s deputies arrested Keaton M. Metz, 22, of Montgomery, after the vehicle she was driving was involved in a crash Jan. 6 at 2:55 p.m. on Route 47 at Helmar Road. Police said Metz was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and improper lane use.

Theft reported

A Bristol resident filed a theft report with county sheriff's deputies Jan. 6. Police said the victim told them that he was a victim of theft by deception. Police said the loss in the incident is more than $500 and they are investigating.

Battery report at business

County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a battery that occurred at a business in the 0-100 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township Jan. 2 at 11:17 pm. Police said deputies were told that a physical altercation had occurred between a supervisor and an subordinate at the business. Police said they are investigating.

License violation

County sheriff’s deputies arrested Juan Leal, 24, of the 400 block of Montgomery Road after stopping his vehicle for having only one working headlight on East Merchants Drive at Fernwood Road in Oswego Jan. 2 at 8:43 p.m. Police said Leal was charged with driving on a suspended license. He posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

Vehicle burglary reported

County sheriff’s deputies took a vehicle burglary report at a residence in the 0-100 block of Woodcliff Road in Boulder Hill Jan. 3. Police said the victim told deputies that personal items were stolen from the vehicle, which had been parked for several days. Police said they are investigating.

Kendall Township burglary

A burglary was reported at a home in the 0-100 block of Hickory Court in Kendall Township Jan. 3, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said personal items valued at $500 were stolen and they are investigating.

Minor injuries in crash

Maya Dennis, 19, no address given, received minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash in the 4000 block of Douglas Road in Oswego Township Jan. 3 at 2:25 p.m., according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said Dennis lost control of her vehicle due to ice on the pavement and it crashed into a ditch. Police said Dennis was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

Sexual assault under investigation

County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of criminal sexual assault that they were told occurred in Oswego Township between 9 p.m. Dec. 29 and 8 a.m. Dec. 30. Deputies took the initial report at a hospital in Plainfield.

Theft report taken

County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a theft that occurred in the 12000 block of Mitchell Drive in Little Rock Township Jan. 4 at 5:10 p.m. Police said they are investigating.

Bank card scam reported

County sheriff’s deputies took a fraud report in the 1000 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township Jan. 4 at 1:11 p.m. Police said the victim told deputies he had received a phone call in which the caller claimed to be from a bank. The caller requested the victim’s bank card information. Police said the call was, in fact, a scam to gain information from the victim. Police said they are investigating.

Minor injuries in crash

A Plainfield resident, Amaya Johns, no age given, of the 12000 block of Grande Poplar Circle received minor injuries when she lost control of her vehicle due to ice on the road and it struck a utility pole in the 4000 block of Steward Road, Oswego Township, Jan. 4 at 7:40 a.m. Police said Oswego Fire Protection District paramedics transported Johns to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

Vehicle burglary reported

Miscellaneous items were stolen from a vehicle parked overnight Jan. 3 in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said they are investigating.
