U.S. Rep, Randy Hultgren, R-Plano, delivered a statement on the House floor celebrating the life of Ron Parish of Yorkville, who passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the age of 75. Parish is survived by his wife Becky, two children Ron, Jr. and Rhonda, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
In his prepared remarks, Hultgren noted that Parish was a lifelong salesman whose career included RC Cola, Nabisco, McCormick Spice Company and more. After he retired, Parish faithfully served the homeless at Kendall County PADS.
"Ron and Becky introduced my family to their church, Harvest New Beginnings, and were the very first to greet us on that God-ordained day three years ago. It has become our home church," Hultgren said in his statement. "I know you are smiling down on us now, Ron. Well done, good and faithful servant."
