Kendall County sheriff's reports

Cited for 94 mph on Rt. 52

County sheriff’s deputies ticketed Jonathan Boyce, 34, of Yorkville, for speeding more than 35 mph over the posted speed limit on Route 52 at McKanna Road in Seward Township May 14 at 9:58 a.m. Police said officers observed Boyce’s vehicle traveling at 94 mph in a 55 mph zone prior to pulling him over.

Investigate fight on school bus

County sheriff’s deputies were summoned to a report of a fight on a school bus May 11 at approximately 3:55 p.m. on River Road and Fox River Road in Little Rock Township. Police said no arrests were made, but the incident remains under investigation.

Harassment reported

County sheriff’s deputies took a report of an individual receiving numerous harassing messages on his Facebook page from an unknown person. Police received the report May 11.

Battery investigation

County sheriff’s deputies were summoned to the 100 block of Linden Drive in Oswego Township May 13 at 7:54 p.m. on a report of a domestic battery. Police said the incident is under investigation.

Cited for driving 84 mph

County sheriff’s deputies ticketed Grover Cleveland Alexander, 47, of Lockport with speeding between 26 and 34 mph over the posted speed limit after they stopped his vehicle May 13 at 9 p.m. in the 3400 block of Route 52. Police said Alexander’s vehicle was traveling at 84 mph in a 55 mph zone when he was pulled over.

License, speeding violations

County sheriff’s deputies arrested La Shonda Hood, 44, of the 2000 block of Light Road, Oswego Township, after stopping the vehicle she was driving for a speeding violation on Light Road May 10 at 1:40 p.m. Police said Hood was charged with driving on a suspended license and cited for speeding.

Investigation underway

County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a battery at a residence in the 0-100 block of Afton Road in Boulder Hill May 9 at 6:25 p.m.

ID theft reported

County sheriff’s deputies took an identity theft report from a resident of the 0-100 block of Center Drive in Oswego Township May 14. Police said the victim told them that she found an unauthorized withdrawal on her checking account. Police said they are investigating.

Juvenile arrested in domestic battery

County sheriff’s deputies arrested a female juvenile on a charge of domestic battery at a residence in the 0-99 block of East Lions Street in Newark May 9 at 4:29 p.m. Police said they were told that the suspect battered several family members. Police said the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

ID suspects in vehicle theft

County sheriff’s deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2000 block of Light Road in Oswego Township May 7. Police said deputies were told the vehicle was taken sometime between 1:45 p.m. May 6 and 10:56 a.m. May 7. Police said they have identified suspects in the case and described the investigation as continuing.

Under investigation

County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a burglary to a vehicle at a residence in the 0-100 block of Red Hawk Drive in Oswego Township May 7 at 3:29 a.m.

Responded to hit-and-run

County sheriff’s deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash May 8 at 10:36 a.m. at Circle Drive East and Crestwood Court in Boulder Hill. Police said deputies were able to locate the driver of the offending vehicle, who had fled the area on foot. Oswego Fire Protection District paramedics took the driver, a 20-year-old Montgomery resident, to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora for what they described as “purported minor injuries.”

Multiple vehicles burglarized

Several vehicles were reported burglarized May 7 at a residence in the 14000 block of Jughandle Road in Seward Township near Minooka May 7 or May 8, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said their investigation is continuing.

Credit card fraud reported

County sheriff’s deputies took a report of credit card fraud from a residence in the 2000 block of Light Road in Oswego Township May 9. Police said the victim reported that she had found unauthorized charges on her debit card. Police said they are investigating.
