To celebrate the end of the school year and to send off the graduating seniors, the Yorkville High School Madrigals presented their Cabaret Night set on Friday and Saturday in the YHS cafetorium.
"It has been a tremendous group of seniors to be able to work with this year...a talented and wonderful group," Madrigals director David Smith said. "It's amazing that we live in a community where the arts are valued. Our community values the arts, our community encourages the arts, and our administration recognizes that we need ways for these students to be more involved in the arts."
Madrigals students performed a variety of Broadway hits, in duets and solos, from shows like "Dear Evan Hansen," "Wicked," and "Side Show." For seven students: Nick Campos, Megan Schmit, Haley Nell, Kyle Parker, Rachel Tassi, Caitlyn Roe and Ben Smith, it was their final performance, as they will graduate with the rest of the class of 2018 at Northern Illinois University on Friday.
