A Bristol resident told Oswego police she struck a deer while driving on Route 34 at Clark Avenue at 9:30 p.m. July 9.
Allergy meds stolen
More than $2,000 in allergy medications were stolen from a store in the 2700 block of Route 34 in Oswego at 9:57 p.m. July 7, village police reported. Police said they are investigating.
Seek info on statue theft
Oswego police are seeking information on the theft of two statues valued at $60 from a home in the 40 block of Sedgwick Road on July 3 or July 4. Police ask anyone with information to call them at 630-551-7300.
Oswego police arrested Ernesto Gonzalez-Garcia, 21, of the 600 block of Union Street, Aurora, after stopping his vehicle on Merchants Drive at Douglas Road at 9 a.m. July 4. Police said Gonzalez-Garcia was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and driving without a seat belt.
Vehicle found damaged
A resident of Bellwood told Oswego police July 5 that her vehicle was struck and damaged by another vehicle while it was parked on Whitewater Drive at Clearwater Drive. Police said they are investigating.
Driver cited in crash
Oswego police ticketed Abdul R. Khan, 47, of Oswego, with improper lane use after the limousine he was driving was involved in a crash at Madison and Washington streets July 5 at 9:57 p.m. Police said no one was hurt.
Oswego police cited Luis Alfredo Gomez Nunez, 22, of the 400 block of Bangs Street, Aurora, after stopping his vehicle on Fifth Street near Route 34 at 12:45 a.m. July 4. Police said Gomez Nunez was charged with driving without a valid license.
Oswego police are investigating a report of eavesdropping and disorderly conduct at a business in the 50 block of Madison Street at 1:46 p.m. July 6.
Ticketed in crash
Oswego police ticketed Maria V. Payan-Lopez, 34, of the 200 block of Fifth Street, Aurora, after the car she was driving was involved in a crash on Fifth Street at Route 34 at 6:59 p.m. July 8. Police said no one was injured, but Payan-Lopez was cited for driving without a valid license.
Motorist stopped, cited
Omayra Otero-Marrero, 44, of the 1800 block of Lilac Lane, Aurora, was charged with speeding and driving without a valid license after Oswego police stopped her vehicle on Main Street at Jackson Street at 4:15 p.m. July 7. Otero-Marrero is scheduled to appear in court on the charges next month.
Motorist hurt, cited
An Aurora resident, Raul Garcia, 39, received minor injuries in a crash on Route 30 at Wolf’s Crossing Road at 2:30 a.m. July 6. Police said the driver of the other vehicle, Celina A. Rosas, 36, of Yorkville, was not hurt. Police said Garcia was taken to an area hospital and cited for driving on a suspended license.
Oswego police arrested Abigail Barajas Arevalo, 29, of the 700 block of Grove Street, Aurora, after stopping her vehicle on Route 34 at Route 71 at 6:38 p.m. July 8. Police said Barajas Arevalo was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving without valid registration and driving without proof of insurance. She posted bond and was released pending a court appearance later this month.
Oswego police arrested Joseph Rizzo, 47, of Oswego on Route 30 at Wolf’s Crossing Road at noon July 7. Police said Rizzo was wanted on a DuPage County warrant. Rizzo posted bond and was released pending a court date next month.
Oswego police took a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle parked on Vista Drive near Arboretum Way overnight July 7. Police said damage to the vehicle was estimated at more than $1,500.
