Yorkville police reports

Information in Police Reports is obtained from local police departments. Individuals in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proved guilty in court.

Violates bond

Yorkville police arrested Darrell Jackson, 51, of the 500 block of West Kendall Drive, Yorkville, at 6:45 a.m. July 3 on charges of violating his bail bond. Police said Jackson, who had previously been arrested on a domestic battery charge, contacted the victim of that domestic battery incident in violation of a 72-hour no-contact order that was part of his bond requirements.

Suspended license

Yorkville police arrested Finner Bryant III, 20, of the 500 block of Kendall Drive, Yorkville, at 8:30 a.m. July 2 on charges of driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at Galena Road and Rosenwinkel Street. Police said Bryan was also cited for driving 70 miles an hour in a 55 mph zone and for having no insurance.

Suspended license

Yorkville police arrested Ivan Bello-Cruz, 31, of the 2200 block of East Marshall Boulevard, Chicago, at 11:30 a.m. July 2 on charges of driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop at Route 47 and Spring Street. Police said Bello-Cruz was also cited for driving 52 miles an hour in a 35 mph zone and for having no insurance.

Yorkville police arrested Mario A. Palombo, 22, of the 2400 block of Fairfax Way, Yorkville, at 10:17 a.m. July 6 on charges of driving with a suspended license.

3 saws stolen

Yorkville police took a report at 6:30 a.m. July 2 that sometime over the weekend, someone broke into a work trailer parked in the 8500 block of Route 126 and stole three saws valued at $900 each.

Hits tree

Yorkville police received a report at 1:15 p.m. July 3 that a vehicle crashed into a tree in the 1900 block of South Bridge Street and left the scene.

Juvenile on bike strikes police car

No injuries were reported when a male juvenile on a Mongoose bicycle struck the driver’s side rear wheel of a Yorkville police car as the squad car was pulling into a drive at Landmark Avenue and Route 47 at 1:09 p.m. July 9, according to police. No damage was done to the bike or the car, police said.

Graffiti at park

Yorkville police responded to a report at 9:45 p.m. July 2 of graffiti that had been written in black marker on the park bench and gazebo at Kiwanis Park, 1809 Country Hills Drive. The graffiti contained various uses of profanity, police said.

Stolen from purse

Yorkville police took a report of $750 stolen from a purse in the 100 block of Bertram Drive.

Warrant arrests

Yorkville police arrested Alicia C. Wise, 26, of the 100 block of Bertram Drive, Yorkville, at 12:59 p.m. July 2 after police discovered she had a warrant for her arrest.

Yorkville police arrested Keith B. Olsen, 40, of the 300 block of Bertram Drive, Yorkville, at 4:36 p.m. July 2 after police discovered he had a warrant for his arrest.

Yorkville police arrested Oscar Rodriguez, 32, of the 100 block of Harbor Drive, Oswego, at 3 a.m. July 3 on a warrant for driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop on Galena Road at Big Bend Drive.

Yorkville police arrested Andre Martel, 19, of the 500 block of Cheshire Court, Yorkville, on a warrant at 2:26 p.m. July 6, after a traffic stop at Route 47 and Carpenter Street.
