Oswego quilting club makes donations

The Quilters Dozen Quilting Club of Oswego recently split proceeds from their annual PrairieFest Quilt Raffle between the Oswegoland Park District, to help defray expenses for the annual Oswego community celebration, and the Oswegoland Heritage Association. The quilters machine-pieced and hand-quilted the PrairieFest Quilt that was raffled off. The park district and heritage association jointly operate the Little White School Museum, where the quilters meet weekly. Bob Stekl accepted the heritage association’s check from quilting club president Diana Schlosser, while Cindy Benson (far right) accepted the park district’s check from quilting club treasurer Jan Woessner. The Quilters Dozen meets every Thursday at the museum, 72 Polk St. (Jackson at Polk) in Oswego. For information on the quilting club, call 630-554-9367 or 630-554-8743.
