Facing DUI, cellphone use charges
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nicole Petrarca, 26, of Northway Drive, Elburn, at 12:41 a.m. April 9 on Somonauk Street and King Street in Bristol Township after stopping the vehicle she was driving when it struck a median. Police said Petrarca was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for improper use of a cellphone. The suspect later posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.
Take defacement report
Sheriff’s deputies took a report of criminal defacement of property at 3:33 p.m. April 8 in the 0-99 block of Woodridge Road in Boulder Hill. Police said unknown individuals spray painted a derogatory word on a wooden fence outside a residence. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 630-553-7500.
Trespass notice served
Sheriff’s deputies served notice on Brandon D. Richardson, no age given, of the 0-99 block of Durango Road, Boulder Hill, at 10:27 a.m. April 6 that he is no longer allowed to be at a business in the 0-99 block of Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill. Police said they served the notice on Richardson after receiving a report of criminal trespass to property at the business.
One hurt in Route 52 crash
Joliet resident Gavina S. Medina, 47, of the 200 block of Harwood Street, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 8:35 a.m. April 6 on Route 52 at Jughandle Road in Seward Township, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Police said Medina was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The crash occurred when Medina’s vehicle was struck in the intersection by a vehicle driven by James L. Webb, 49, of the 700 block of Versailles Parkway, Oswego.
Facing domestic battery charge
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Liaquivious Dixon, 29, of the 0-1000 block of Route 52, Minooka, at 12:55 a.m. April 7 on Route 52 and Ridge Road in a Seward Township on a charge of domestic battery. Police said Dixon was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending a bond hearing.
Bristol incident under investigation
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of a theft of less than $500, criminal damage to property and domestic violence that occurred at 3 a.m. April 6 in the 1000 block of West Beecher Road in Bristol Township.
ID theft reported
A resident of the 300 block of Country Lane in Kendall Township told sheriff’s deputies at 11:28 a.m. April 28 that someone had opened a credit card account in their name without their consent. Police said they are investigating.

A resident of the 2000 block of Light Road in Oswego Township told sheriff’s deputies at 12:05 p.m. April 6 that someone had used his name without his consent to open a cellphone account.
One hurt, cited in Route 52 crash
Chicago resident Nancy Taylor, 57, of the 3000 block of Bonfield Street, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:40 p.m. April 7 on Route 52 at Grove Road in Seward Township, according to the county sheriff’s office. Police said Taylor was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash occurred when Taylor failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by Penny Colvin, 73, of the 700 block of Madison Street, Sauk City, Wisconsin. Police said they cited Taylor for failing to yield at a stop intersection.
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a cyberstalking incident that occurred at 8:30 p.m. April 7 in the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill.
Tires slashed on vehicle
Sheriff’s deputies took a report of criminal damage to property at 12:02 p.m. April 3 at the Oswego police station in the 3000 block of Woolley Road in Oswego. Police said someone slashed the tires on a vehicle that was parked overnight at the station. Police said they are investigating.
ID theft reported
Sheriff’s deputies took an identity theft report at 8:38 a.m. April 2 by a resident in the 0-99 block of Lexington Court in Bristol Township. Police said the victim was billed for and received a cellphone that she did not order.
Yorkville man arrested
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tyler J. Morrick, 34, of the 100 block of Orchid Street, Yorkville, at 12 p.m. April 2 on Route 34 at Lynncliff Drive in Oswego Township. Police said Morrick, who was pulled over for a speeding violation, was charged with driving on a revoked license and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis. Police said Morrick was transported to the County Jail in Yorkville where he later posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.
Behavior alarms employees
Sheriff’s deputies took a disorderly conduct report at 11:54 a.m. April 2 at a business in the 800 block of Johns Street in Bristol Township. Police said the suspect in the March 26 incident acted in a manner that alarmed and employees of the business.
Theft by deception reported
Sheriff’s deputies took a theft by deception report at 3:57 p.m. April 2 from a resident of the 0-99 block of Lynwood Drive in Little Rock Township. Police said the incident involved the sale of an item on the internet.
Facing multiple citations
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tshanti Simmons, 23, of the 2100 block of 70th Place, Chicago, after stopping her vehicle at 6:30 p.m. April 3 on Route 71 and Highpoint Road in Kendall Township for a speeding violation. Police said Simmons was charged with driving without a valid license, and cited for speeding, driving without insurance and no valid vehicle registration.
Harbor Drive arrest
Sheriff’s deputies arrested a male juvenile on a warrant at 11:30 p.m. April 2 at a residence in the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego Township. Police said the juvenile was wanted on an Aurora police warrant. The suspect was transferred to the custody of Aurora police.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shirley Matthews-Akins, 62, of Montgomery, at 12:02 p.m. April 3 after deputies met her at the Oswego Police Station to investigate a report of criminal damage to property that deputies were told occurred in the 5300 block of Douglas Road in unincorporated Oswego Township. Police said Matthews-Akins was taken into custody when deputies determined that she was wanted on a DuPage County warrant for failing to appear in court on a trespassing charge. The suspect was transported to the County Jail where her bond was set at $3,000.
