[The Stewards Park Swimming Hole along Big Rock Creek is one of the featured locations in the Plano Historical Society's 2018 calendar, and will also feature a more modern photograph to represent the changing times. Visitors considered jumping off of the high dive board to be
a test of bravery.]
The present-day photos in the calendar were taken by lifelong Plano resident Mike Wade, who helped design the calendars, along with the staff of Gforce Labels and Printing, located in Plano. The business is owned by the Gould family, also lifelong residents of Plano.
The calendars are available for purchase at the Plano Public Library, City Hall, Plano Commerce Association and many local businesses, as well as through members of the historical society. Proceeds from the sales will go directly to the historical society; the sales are the main fundraiser of the society.
