[Photo provided by Sandwich police]Elgin man arrested Sandwich police arrested Roberto Dorantez, 44, of the 300 block of Billings Street, Elgin, while responding to a 911 call at a residence in the 3300 block of Drew Avenue in Sandwich at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 22. Police said Dorantez was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville pending a bond call.Motorist facing charges Sandwich police arrested Diana Clark, 45, of the 1000 block of Spruce Lane, Sandwich, while responding to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Cindy Lane and Lions Street at 3:01 p.m. March 1. Police said Clark faces charges of driving without a license, having no insurance and improper lane use. She posted bond and is scheduled to appear in court on the charges later this month at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore. [Photo provided by Sandwich police]License violation Sandwich police arrested Marcell Johnson Jr., 22, of the 5700 block of West Pershing Road, Cicero, after stopping his vehicle for a traffic violation March 3 at 7:02 p.m. in the 900 block of East Church Street. Police said Johnson was charged with driving without a valid license. He posted bond and is scheduled to appear at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore on the charge later this month.
