Chernick enjoyed throwing the football around to the group of youngsters, and teaching them a thing or two about the game.
"I always try to teach them that it's for fun," Chernick said. "You'll win, you'll lose, but football should always be fun."
Each night of the camp brings a guest speaker, who also helps instruct.
On Monday this week Brown, a former Reaper recently returned from playing professionally in Serbia, addressed the kids. Dennis Piron, head coach of defending Class 7A state champion Batavia, was scheduled to be there Wednesday. In the past Kunz has brought in a former Northwestern basketball player, and Jarrett Payton – a former teammate at Miami and son of Bears great Walter Payton.
