Reapers' players, coach recall 1999 team's magical run to fourth in the state
The sound of bouncing basketballs from his front window on a summer's day was music to Scott Miller's ears.
Miller, then Plano's boys basketball coach, lived next door to Kevin Jensen. Brad Korn's house was around the corner. Ryan McCoy's family lived across the street.
"They'd all play at Kevin's house, the Kool-Aid house," Miller remembered with a laugh. "Plano's whole starting five, playing in the driveway. I told them it was a coach's dream. Windows up, listening to the ball bounce, Zach [Miller] in the front lawn."
